Cam's and "Lopey" idle.
What exactly does that refer too? different exhaust note? or the engine moving a bit more and shaking? at first I assumed it was the exhaust have more of a lope lope lope sounds much like a big truck with an exhaust (LOVE THAT SOUND) but I am not sure anymore... also I heard something about using more gas and smells or whatever can somone give me a quick description of what new cams like Hot Rod Cams would change about my stang....

When you listen to a car that has performance cams, it sounds "lopey" as opposed to the steady "purr" that you hear from your engine now.
Lopey could be described as somewhat uneven firing of the cylinders, or "stuttering" kinda like "blub, blub, ka-chug, blub, ka-chug, blub, blub, blub, ka-chug" instead of blub, blub, blub... ad infinitum.

Refers to 'pleasure of the ears and nose'. Nothing better than that sound and the sweet sweet smell of high octane exhaust. You can get half of the deal on youtube, seach cam lope.
It's basically refering to how the cam changes the duration of intake/exhaust.

Here is a good before/after video. The sound quality isn't that great.

I have performance cams, but it doesn't have an extreme profile it's what would be called a "blower cam." On cams without an extreme profile, you'll end up tuning the lope out because it can cause oiling issues towards the back of the cam. You don't have to worry about that with the hot rod cams you mentioned though as they are designed more for sound IMO.

exhaust "sound" aside (and you FI guys are a different matter)... w/o the cams my car completely rolled over and quit making power at around 5500 rpm. You could feel it fall flat on it's face. It was ridiculous....
Run your car out to around 5.5-6k rpm. you'll get to the point where the car feels like it's BEGGING you to shift gears. that's the point where it stops making power.
With aftermarket cams, the car won't feel like it's run out of power and you have to shift. It will keep pulling and pulling and pulling all the way out to 6.5k rpm. You will stay in your powerband longer and when you shift gears the rpm will stay up, no bogging and it just f'in SCREAMS!!! love it!
THAT's the beauty of aftermarket cams on a NA car.

Hmm they sound a little too klackity clack i like the loudness and the way the soun is.. if that makes sense but it seems too high pitched... is that the problem with vids are they much deeper in real life? or do they sound like that?
