put about 150lbs in the trunk. Don't leave it in there all the time. If the roads a dry, take it out or your springs will lose their memory. (In other words, if the car drops 2 inches in the rear, it will stay an inch lower when you take the weight out)

I dunno but do me a favor... whatever weight you decide on let me know what it is and how much it lowers the rear... I'm looking for a cheap and easy way to bring it down an inch or so!

Just keep adding weight until it drops. 300lbs in a Ranger....my buddy left this in the bed all winter and had to have his springs re-bent in the spring.

but what if he wanted to keep it lower, like me? would it mess the car up?

I think I have to look into loading the trunk or those tires. The other day it was raining and around a turn in second even with EASY throttle modulation my car did a 360...........lesson: stock tires+4.10s+wet roads and low 30's DO NOT mix

I use 3 bags of water softener salt so 150# and it works well. The salt is easy to handle cause the bags have handles, and I take them in/out as needed...then use the salt in the softener come springtime so I don't have to store something.

Salt is the worst thing to store in your trunk.
It causes all sorts of corrosion problems down the road.
Heck why not use some old leaky car batteries for weight?
They are made from lead and are easily moved around.
Sand is the next worst item to have loose in the trunk
during an accident. If you must put something back there
for weight, at least secure it well so it does not become an
interior projectile during a crash.

I have 4ea 18" winter tires for sale.
Hankook Ice Bear. Ran them on my GT for 2 winters, 8K on the tires;
400 for the set.
I live in central OH.
I ran 3 60lb Tubesand in my trunk during the winter.
