Default Racing Seats and Side Airbags..... =/

Ok guys, im looking into getting some Corbeau Racing seats since my stock ones are starting to rip. Ive heard you cant install racing seats if you have side airbags tho, is this true? Is it hard to install racing seats?

Thanks for the info

ive only seen one set of racing seats that actually used the side airbags (though that doesnt mean there arent more out there). The one set i saw was super nice quality with a super price of 2900 dollars for 2 front seats and the rear matching seats.

Yep just make sure you follow the specific Ford removal safety procedure for an airbag. The car needs to sit for about an hour with the battery disconnected or when you unplug the seats the bags might go off.

Did the same thing when installing aftermarket seats in my stang and it worked.

How did you address the Airbag light that comes on the dash after you remove the seats? Or did you just accept the Airbag light

I think there is a plug that goes into the existing harness. Can't remember the part number but it's $12 from the dealership. It's the same part that plugs into car that didnt get side airbags.
