Warranty - Ford only has 3 / 36k bumper to bumper (expired) and 5 / 60k powertrain last I checked. So your powertrain should still be coverered from factory, extended contracts are common place on used cars. Optional though.

Dont know how many credit apps you have done, but they all ask pretty much anything you want with nothing promised in return, If your paying cash though then you dont need to worry about all that ;-)

CARFAX garantee, call them up and ask about it. Tell them you are looking at using the buy it now option, but want to see a report first and let them know you dont expect to pay for it.

I say go with your gut, it looks like a legit good deal, but I may be more inclined to go to a actual dealer too... After searching a little online, I found there web site:
http://springfield-auto-gallery.ebizautos.com/
They look like there pretty much EBay only, but do let you come to there shop and check on the vehicles too. Where are you currently located? like zip anyway
First off I just want to say thanks a lot to you JDWalton and clentonz and others for all the useful information. eBay is a website that I look at ALL the time however one thing that I am cautious about is the fact that I can't really go and take a look at a car in Florida or Texas since I live in New York, 11209 and don't want to buy a lemon or a car with problems. I don't know about you guys buy I have never met anyone that has ever bought a car on eBay so can't say much about that . It also seems like cars in Texas and Florida are cheaper so I wouldn't mind buying one out there and then driving it back to NY, that would be an amazing experience :-D. But anyways... any thought on buying a car on eBay without seeing it first??

Check how much you will pay for insurance before you get a GT.

I personaly like the last one the best (blue with black stripes) but I would call them and see if they would come down a little on price, I would be refrencing the top one though as example of them overpricing ;-)

I'm located in the DFW area of Texas, and just had my jeep go on me; so I have 13k-14k for a 05+ GT 5spd. I'm having a he11 of a time finding a decent one, they are either:

1. Has been listed for a while(from what I can tell), and makes me think that everyone knows something I don't; and there is a reason it is not selling.

2. High mileage(80k+), which is a little above average for a 05; even higher for a 06'. Just thought I could get a lower mileage one in my price range...

3. They are either really really far away.

4. They have aftermarket parts on it; which to me means, "typical teenager/whoever buys new, adds some wheels or whatever, beats on it while not maintaining it...it starts giving them problems, so they sell as someone else problem".

5. It just has something a little "off" about the deal, and gets me all squirmy; and just pass over it.

I.E. Like this one, looks like a really good deal, but has problems #1, #4 and a little of #5 lol

What should I be searching my maximum price be? Like I only want to spend 13-14k, but plan on haggling the crapola outta them; so what should I search (autotrader) as my max price...but most likely talk them down to the 14's? Any suggestions? Thanks guys....These questions are also pertaining for my bud bm2088hp, the OP; as we are in similar situations

Wow those do look really nice! Traveling 50 miles to take a look is definitely something I can work with lol. Haven't really been using autorader.com much but it seems like a really good site. Thx!

I love it how in the "Seller's Description and Comments" it says:

"FREE AUTOCHECK REPORT SUPER CLEAN !!! V8 4.6L GT MUSTANG MANUAL TRANSMISSION 18 American Racing Wheels LEATHER SHAKER 500 AUDIO SYSTEM GO TO .TXAWDUNLIMITED. TO SEE OVER 50 PICTURES OF THIS TRUCK AND MORE INFORMATION !!! !!!"

But yeah clentonz I agree with you on all those 5 points. Ill use autotrader.com to look for cars around my area and test drive them before the final purchase.

lol... first thing I saw but decided not to touch it. as for max search price... for Clentonz, I woulkd look up to like 15,200 if 14 is what I wanted to max at. you may get him to at least meet half way and end up with something alot nicer equpied then you would have otherwise thought you would get.

Wow JD, I really appreciate the time and help; that is very kind of you. See, I JUST did a search(to show you that black one) and NONE of those showed up my search?? This has happened many times, why does it do this?? For example, I am going to school at Texas Tech in Lubbock, and when I do a search with a 200 mile radius/15k max for a mustang...not one returns. I do get a couple hits if I search from the library lol....I just don't understand, am I doing something wrong? It just feels like I am missing out on so many good deals

But thanks again for those links, I checked the first one (12.4k, which looks great!), but had a wreck on it's carfax Seems like it has had a lot of service done to it, do you think it is b/c of the wreck? If its a really clean car, but just got into a fender bender or whatever, as well as the owner taking it in to the dealer every month lol; I would be all over that....like I would literally catch the 7am flight out of lubbock and be in Dallas at the dealer in a hour and a half.

Thank you so much for those links, I just can't figure out why they don't show up on my search?? Either way, I appreciate it, and any tips/info would be greatly appreciated

EDIT: LOL wow I'm an idiot, I feel like a guy who thinks that hot girl is waving at me, and me waving back; but she's really waving at her boyfriend behind me haha.... lol I thought those cars were around my area(DFW), I was like YAY....uh I'm dumb...But I don't know about NJ, but I would fly quite far for a great deal/car and have a awesome road trip back!

But, bm2088hp, I would defiantly look at the light blue w/ racing stripes and the silver one that JD recommended; those are some very good deals. Your going to get a GT right? I hope you do...you will LOVE IT! If you haven't driven a 5spd GT, than I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you do that; you will love the powsherr . But seriously, I say you go for the GT, if your having any doubts...Good Luck bro

Talking

def. go with the gt. i myself am going to buy a brand new 2009 gt when the 2010 comes out bc they will be sooo cheap. my brother got a 2008 mustang gt for 21,000..(sticker price of 29,000) bc they were trying to get rid of the 08s for the 09s!! imagine how much theyll knock off the 09s for the 2010s. im hoping to get one for around 19k. bc face it, they havent sold many 09s bc people are waiting for the 2010s. the dealership im getting mine from has had the one im getting for like a year now...theyll be wanting to get rid of them asap bc theyre lot is full. and also the economy is bd right now so theyre not selling them anyway. i say you put the 15,000 down and finance the rest... you will have NO miles, a clean unused car, a full factory warranty, and a PERFECT condition car. no worrying about it being abused or about rust or faulty parts. such a smart thing to do imo.n
