not that it matters. to each his own. i like my nitrous and i'm very happy with my 11.87 myself.
Actualy in the post right above mine is where to look.

Look at it this way: 125 shot nitrous installed and tuned $2300 +125 hp. Turbo kit: $4000 installed and tuned +275 hp. FRPP cams with the FRPP tune installed and tuned: $1100

Nitrous: $18.4 per hp
Cams: $31 per hp
Turbo: $14.5 per hp

Cams are 68% more expensive than nitrous, BUT nitrous only works for 6 minutes and you'll be paying $25 a bottle every other week if you have an incredible hook up, more if you don't, . All that money adds up and after only 60 fill ups you'll be in the hole (and remember that's if you have my hookup and yes i have it on my mustang and it's still stupid to use outside of the track. I don't open the nitrous on my daily driver almost ever)

Also remember it costs gas to go to the performance shop too.

So nitrous sucks because it's only cheaper if you use it less than 60 times, and you have to constantly go and refill it while paying for the gas to waste your time. Nitrous is a last resort or a toy not a first resort or a serious power adder. Think about that.

Don't be lame.

My tuner quoted me $600 for install and $400 for dyno tune.

The price quoted is a good one. It cost about that for my install and I definitely agree with the dyno tune. With the dyno, the tune can be tweaked for the best performance.

Not necessarily. You can claim that it is only there for shows. There's not much they can do about it unless they can prove that they saw you spray, IIRC.

Does any one know how much tuning is involved in stage one or two cams? What are the pros and cons? I have heard that morning idles are rough. Good info so far.

Definitely find a good tuner that wont josh you around on the price. The newer NSR cams like the FRPP's and the Thumprs can be a bit touchy to tune, thus taking a while. Once they're tuned, you shouldn't have any problem, but yes you'll have a rough idle ( in a very sexy way ) and with proper tuning it wont be a problem, just pure sex to the ears. The only cons to the NSR cams are smaller gains in power compared to some of the VSR and SPR cams more geared towards power.

Not true in alot of states now. You can have it in your car in GA but it can only be a bottle, not connected and to transport to and from racetrack. Its doubtful you would ever get pulled over and the police check it, but it is a law here now.

my nitrous kit costs about 550 bucks.. i installed it myself never having done so in my life... got a custom dyno tune for 300 bucks with perfect a/f across the band. ran 11's at the track only time i use it is at the track. so 900 bucks total is worth that in my opinion if i can't afford the 5k or so for a supercharger or turbo.

900 / 105 roughly hp gained on the dyno = $8.57 per hp
