I'm interested in getting that exact thing but i found it online for a good price but i need all the stuff to install it and crutchfeild says i need a PAC Ford Radio Replacement Interface thats 120$ and i still need the plastic peice to install it...Is there a site i can use that might be able to help me? and did u have to get that interface? that price seems high for some wires...

It looks great man! I also want to get this unit, and will be very soon! I had a couple questions, what's the difference between the f700bt and the f900bt, and what exactly did you need for the install? Also, what setup do you have stereo wise, or did you just replace the stock head unit? I plan on wiring up an amp and 2 10's, but I'm told it should be easy once you get the head unit in.

The f700bt doesnt have a dvd player and the f900bt does... the f90bt is the same as the f900bt but it has a 2 yr warranty instead of a one year

well, i dont know about the '08's, but i have an '07 and crutchfiel told me (online and 2 actual "tech experts") that the metra part #70-5521 would NOT work. but, seing the D3 write-up, i figured they were wrong, so i ordered it anyway. well, low and behold, it works!!

the folks at crutchfield told me the same thing; "the $20 harness wont work, so you need the $130 harness". f**k them, get the $20 part, it works fine.

and for the dash kit, i used the metra one and it looks great, the pictures do it no justice. it was $20 and i got it locally at an auto parts store.

On a side note, yes the navigation is free, but if you want the traffic updates, i think it's around $50 for the first year, or you can get it for lifetime at like $129, which would be my choice, I'd say it's worth it.

Second note, the F900bt has a 1 year warranty. The F90bt has the 2 year warranty.

I'm getting the F90bt

part #'s are in these D3 install threads

shaker system - https://mustangforums.com/forum/2005...k-go-away.html

non shaker system - https://mustangforums.com/forum/2005...s-of-pics.html

it's pretty much the same process as the D3 install, but the "mute wire bypass is different for the F series.

bypass for F series - http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19689

hope that helps!
