If you didn't hear the whirring sound of the pump powering up it's probably the relay...

shouldn't be expensive to fix whatever the problem.. don't sweat it.

it would still trigger the starter if your fuel pump wasnt working. If its not even attepting to start its ignition, not fuel. Look at the clutch switch down on the pedals. Looks to see if the switch is being pressing in when you press the clutch. If it is then unplug it and jump the 2 wires with a jumper and see if it works.

This may or may not apply, but I thought I would throw this out there. I recently had what sounds to be a similar problem with my F150 (not the stang), it had something to do with the PATS system. I could turn the key and get power to everything, but when I tried to start it.......nothing, absolutely nothing, no click, nothing. After reading many posts and conversing back and forth on one of the F150 forums, I was ready to give up and have it towed to the dealer. Anyway, one forum member told me to put the key in the ignition, turn it to the "on" position and leave it for about 30 mins.... and then try to start it. I did this, and low and behold, the truck started and I have not had a problem since? Doesn't make sense to me, but it worked? It must have something to do with the PATS system recognizing the key? I spoke with the local Ford mechanic, and he had no idea about this procedure? This may not be your issue, but I thought it couldn't hurt throw it out there.
