I believe runflats have a stiffer sidewall than regular tires. As that's what helps keep the tire from going down to the rim and allows you to continue to drive even with a blowout.

just curiuos, i am also planning to put 315/35/20 on my rear 20x10 wheels and was browsing forum to check if anybode done that before. here you go.

but according to http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html tire size calculator, front wheel (255/35/20) overall diameter is 26.5" and rear wheel (315/35/20) overall diameter is 28.7".

When diameter is different in more than 2" the ABS and Advancetrack options recognize it as skidding and/ or give false results to performance?

althoug i like the way it looks, i have two questions, does the front and rear tire difference influence performance, and does 315 tire mount on 10" rim?

Thanks

Although I'm not a fan of 20's, you did a great job in your choices. The wheels certainly enhance the overall appearance without being overly flashy and the offset upfront helped move the 255's out a tad to look a bit more even with the rears. I have 275's all around and, when its time for new rubber, I'll be putting 255's up front.

Sweet.

i had 285/35R20 Bridgestone runflats on the supersnake Alcoas on my 2008.

It was horrible! As someone above mentioned they are very stiff and combined with the low profile tire made for a terrible ride. Will never purchase runflats again!
