Default Is this true about springs?

I read an article in 5.0 magazine about a 05 to 09 model mustang that had used a set of lowering springs without caster camber plates and they ruined the tires. (inside wearing) What im trying to find out is when i lower mine, am i going to have to buy caster camber plates?

not necessary depending on how low you go. You'll want shocks/struts but caster/camber plates are not going to be needed for most all lowering springs unless you go coil overs and drop it a lot more which isn't really possible. If anything you can get the front strut bolts that adjust camber which are $30 bucks from most stores.

I only intend on dropping the front 1" and the back 1.25". They are steeda ultralite springs.

When I first lowered mine in 05 they did not even make the plates for the 05 yet most people just bought the bolts. Only thing is I would carry it to a frame & suspension shop that is what I did most of the time mechanics at the fly by night shops do not even know what to do when something is out of the norm.

I have the same Steeda springs on my car and I have put about 6,000 miles on the springs in 2 years. Never had an issue and I do not have camber plates on it.
