Question Why is this happening to hood blanket, plenum cover + strut tower covers (56k beware)

Help: Why is this happening to my hood blanket, plenum cover + strut tower covers?

Top pictures are before bottom are after:

After I clean the circled areas with a damp sponge and detailer spray:

This cycle repeats itself after a few days or maybe once a week until it's treated with cleaning products.

As a result, this has left permanent marks on the circled plastic pieces since they were installed brand new.

BTW this happened to both my stock hood blanket and plenum long before I installed these aftermarket covers.

I originally wanted to protect my engine from causing this damage anymore.

It's actually left very light burn marks on the hood blanket, plenum cover and shock strut tower covers though.

It would of had to cause a lot of rubbing to leave these kind of scuff marks.

It's the crappy WMS hood blanket you got there. Get a stocker to replace it or upgrade to the one I have.

I bought the replacement hood blanket directly from WMS because my stock one had marks too.

Do you think WMS would accept a return on something so problematic/defective after 30 days with these pictures?

I did find tbirddmnd's custom hood liners on eBay, thought the WMS was a better option but now I'm paying for that decision.
