headlight replacement bulb install?

.. I think the stock lights on the 08 GT/CS are HIDs already or something similar.. I went to go swap them out just now and instead of the usual mounting that goes with normal bulbs there was a little 'pack' behind it. I just left it alone.. the bulbs look 100% better then the Ebay ones lol...
