I love my Bassani street mufflers. I will be putting them on whatever V8 powered vehicles I get in the future. I love that sound.

Thanks for the compliment, Poco. I think I'd have been very happy with a New Edge coming from a 3.0L ranger. ...and, of course, I could have done the same mods (CAI, tune, springs, headers) to the New Edge...only cheaper.

As Jason posted, our cars will never sound like new edges or old school muscle cars. We have to make due what we have.

I like my pypes mid mufflers, but that white car with the mid mounted flows sounds sweet. I'd like to hear it at wide open throttle from inside and outside.

The OP's video was from Kinneys muffler shop in Bedford TX. For anyone living in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, I would recommend them for any exhaust work.

That new edge sounds awesome. Guess I'll be getting cams one day.

Lets not forget that the "TRUE" musclecar sound is the sound from the 60s and early 70s...which the s197 captures pretty well! If you listen to the classic stangs and the s197 back to back..its very close! the sound everybody loves so much is unique to the sn-95/new edge stangs...which sounded the best with that deep, hollow sound..but that sound is not really possible for our cars, but atleast they do sound "classic" and have the looks, styling, and performance to go with it FWIW!

Hell yeah.

Boomtubes will make you forget about the 2v sound. I honestly don't care about it all that much anymore after I got my boomtubes. It's sweeeeet.

The Pypes MM sound VERY similar to boomtubes to me. I was thinking about getting them but I liked how much easier it is to install axle-backs like the boomtubes.

Big difference between the new engines and old is that crazy compression (around 10 to 1 and up to 12 to 1) and both types of cams, hydraulic or solid lifter cams that produced no vacuum, just thump banging torque. Oh and that 101 octane required by the manufacturers.

I'll take the new 4.6 any day, half the cubes and a lot less reciprocating mass along with incredible air flow through the heads. And suspension technology, which effectively gets that power to the ground.

GTBs are deep sounding, and are REALLY deep at idle!
