Default Fair Dealer - Chicago area

If it is possible to imagine, are there any dealers in the Chicago area that treated you fair that you would recommend? E-mail me please with a dealer name and even a sales person. What should I expect with pricing on a 05 GT? Will they deal, or am I going to be over MSRP? Thanks!

Here is a link provided by another member here on this forum...

http://www.fordvehicles.com/dealerships/locate/

Click on search dealer inventory
Enter in zip code

You will get dealers in your area that have them priced at MSRP. Whether they jacked up the price above MSRP is another story. I would imagine they have.

I live out in Schaumburg but I did search the chicago area. So far my luck is not good. In fact, tonight I am supposed to have an appointment with a salesperson in the Schaumburg dealership. I will let you know how that one goes.

I told them specifically that I would not put my ordering fee down until I am done completely researching the Mustangs.

Well, South Suburbs theres VanDrunen Ford in Homewood
183rd and Kedzie 708-798-1668.
Always been good to me, have been a dealer for a long time, Not a HUGE dealer, so its more personal, each customer really matters.
My salesman is Ken Crowe, The New car manager is Bruce (something, drawing a blank).
All ford plans accepted, A-X-D and I think theres another letter.
I am getting the Xplan, not sure how thier pricing the GT's. Also good luck getting a 05 GT in what you want.
They have 3 05's on order that are looking like getting rolled over to 06.
I am 1st for 06 Unless rollovers

Guys,

Two dealers in Chicago sell at MRSP...

Bert Weinman (near Cubs Park) and Pachey Webb (in Wheaton)...

Put down $3,000 deposit in December 2004 on a new Mustang GT but Bert Weinman could not deliver because of IUP legal problems...

Canceled order and got my deposit back (NO PROBLEM)...

Called Pachey Webb (in Wheaton), talked to David Griffin "Grif"...

He asked me "if I can get the car in the color and options you want, will you buy it"???

I said ABSOLUTELY!!!

He called me back in 2 hours and said that he had located the exact new in Harvard, IL...

Shipped it to his dealership a few days later...

I went into his dealership the next day and gave him $2,000 deposit...

Came back the next Saturday and paid the balance...

Have my GT since February 2005...

Call him -- but now it's a matter of "can he find one anywhere"??? or search ebay...

I now have my name on a list with him for the new Shelby GT500...

Don't know what his price will be but I'm on the list...

Good Luck, Dave

You need to go to Bredeman Ford in Glenview. I bought mine from them and they are very reputable. Ask for kirk Birkenheier and tell him that Glenn (sonic blue GT) sent you.

I think the market in Chicago is strong for the 05 GT. I sold mine up there last Wed. and it is now for sale on the lot for $29995. They gave me just under MSRP for it, with 6500 miles on it.

Good luck with your search. The cars are a blast to drive, and travel very well !!

Go to Packey Webb ford in Wheaton!! I shopped around forever and they were the by far the best. They got me the exact car I wanted in two days! I wanted an 05 GT black on black, Auto, bullits and spoiler delete. My car arrived as I asked except it had a spoiler. The Sales manager Norm had the trunk swapped with a spoiler delete car in stock. He even gave me his personal demo car while it was being done. John Lammers was my salesman. They have been in business for over 50 years. It is worth checking out!!!

They will treat you like a king. They understand how important the mustang is to us!!!
