No, you'e not the dumbest. The real Darwin award goes to the guy that drained his oil, figured he'd help it drain since it was taking too long and flushed his engine with hose water with the engine idling. Seized up shortly during his "flush". Now THERE'S a dimwit.
Hey, that was me!!

Nah, just kidding, heh. That's a tough break man, if only I had another 5 hp in my car for every time I've hit curb..

I did almost the same thing . It was like the 3 rd time out time out with the car and I pulled up too far on one of the stop blocks and scratched the front bumper! We all do it now and again!

If you go here: https://mustangforums.com/forum/index.php and look at the right under Most Viewed Threads it's the second one.

I think it has so many hits due to it being spread ALL OVER the net.

No fkin way, did that really happen?
I thought the darwin award went to whoever put the lock tight on their oil drain plug. The member slips my mind at the moment.

Yeah bonehead moment...as i eased it into a parking garage spot Last one in the lane so not to have cars parked on both sides to avoid door dings...I was inching it really slow forward so i don't bump the guardrail...When i come back 8hrs later i notice i eased it right into the sharp bottom edge of the rail and bending the plastic corner of my front bumper and leaving it like that all day now a permanent looks like a fold in paper...grrrrrrr
