Default Global Opening/Closing for 2005s

Okay I got sidetracked on the internet and found that Mustangs built through 1/3/2005 have a Global Opening/closing feature with the key fob. My Mustang was finished on 1/2/2005, but the feature doesn't work. Any idea if I have to reprogram the FOB? I replaced the old fob when I bought the car.

The feature is you hold down the unlock on your key fob for a couple seconds and the windows roll down. Hold the lock on your key fob and the windows roll up.

Hopefully I don't sound crazy!

Basically you hold down the unlock for 2 seconds and your windows roll down. Hold the lock for 2 seconds and the windows roll up. Sorry I didn't explain that!

Glad I could help!

But again this was supposedly an early 2005 model feature. It was apparently discontinued for security reasons. I'm just thinking with spring and summer on the way, this would be a nice feature to be able to use.

Yeah, I didn't read your original post close enough - you got me all excited. It would be nice on a hot day....

We were talking about the global windows at my mustang club meeting last night. Check out this thread on mustang source. Stangnut is a guy in my club. My production date is 11/04 so I'm going to the Ford place tommorrow to see if they can turn it on.

BTW he said he never encountered any problems whatsoever with his windows rolling down randomly. He said that most people would accidentally roll them down in the rain is why ford discontinued it.
