I have the vert top rattle and have been to 4 top shops and they all stated the top is fine and the frame is fine.The wheeels have to hit a bump just right to make the top shudder. The handles are tight the tenison rods are not the problem. They all seem to think the noise is comming from the front end and when the car hits a bumb or the body flexes and you hear it in the top. The last top guy was turning the car around and had 2 of the wheels on the street and 2 in a drive way and you could hear the whole top flex from front to back.I will take the front strut tower brace off and will see if there are any changes with that. With the top down you really cant seem to tell if the front end is making any noises. I can live with this and i know verts flex and it does not rattle on all bumps. Five days left on the 3/36 amd the has 16k with a esp5 year warr that does not cover the top but takes care of the front end. Any ideas out there? The car rides smooth with no shake in the sterring wheel.

Its your tension cables, replace them with the new style & it bill be quiet, see this thread, I wrote a how to if you want to tackle it yourself, see the test in the TSB where you pull on the edge of the cover & hear the cable bind & slip.
