ORIGINAL: Redfire

When I had the dealer [lotboy? With a busted jaw, wired together!] install my front plate, he just used tapping screws in the factory divots. First time through the car wash, and the plate was bent at about a 45 degree angle. So I went and got a chrome frame to beef it up a bit. Thing is, the bumper isnt flat where the plate goes. I wound up slightly bending the frame and licence plate to fit. Looks great, and no more car wash probs!
You get to use a car wash?

That's actually a pretty bad *** idea. Some rare earth magnets on the plate and behind the bumper cover. Good thinking! Certainly alot cheaper than those hideaway kits that cost a couple of hundred bucks.

Would definitely be nice for getting the fix-it ticket signed off without any permanent scarring (I prefer to go sans front plate).

I haven't even mounted my wifes. Her last car didn't have one for 4 years and never got stopped once. I'll just leave it off till officer friendly stops us and writes a ticket.

Gosh, that's an open ended statement inviting rude comments (perhaps I shouldn't have used the term 'open ended')

Read what I did for a front bracket. On this other forum, my sign-on is LLG05.

I wish he could have lived another year to see the Mustang GT come back. He lost his life one year ago while on his Ducati which he took off the set of his last film- Double Tap, worked on the Matrix! Romeo Must Die.

I am going to take my chances as well with not putting the front plate on..I am going to try (if I get stopped for it) to plead my case to the police..How could I possibly think of putting holes in this fine looking automobile. Hope it works!
