Help with 2009 GT or 2010 V6.
Hey, have a dilemna...anyone could help me with your opinions. Im getting a mustang but I am stuck with the 2009 GT (good deal, GT appearance package etc) or the 2010 model coming out. Ford is giving me a pretty good deal for the 2009 GT with works within my budget but im thinking if I get the 2010 model...I might just end up with the v6 model for my budget. Im so into hoodscoops and leather seats etc. Please, any advise? Thanks
I am a newbie so any expert opinion is greatly appreciated.

Easy get the 2009 gt or wait and save up for the 2010 gt. Also there are some awsome rides to be had out there besides the 2009 gt. The 2007 saleen pj mustang is cheap these days for around 30k that used to have a sticker price of over 60k. Some people are taking a serious look at the v6 camaro option as it has 300 hp as our 4.6 badly needs a upgrade. Take your time lots of options these days with cars. Cash is king right now with the way things are right now.

It all depends on what you're going for. If you're into fresh looks, and don't care about power, go for the '10, but If you're a performance junkie and can't live without the muscle, go with the '09. Although, from your admission to liking hoodscoops and leather seats it seems you've made up your mind. Plus the '09 has the HP.

If the V8 power isn't an absolute must, I would seriously consider the 2010 V6. Most people around here don't understand how much better the 2010 interior really is.
I happen to think the 2010 V6 looks better than both the 2005-2009 GT and the 2010 GT.

it really is a matter of power versus style.
A used 2009 GT will be a great deal! Hard to tell as they won't show prices. I'm guessing maybe $23-24K?
Probably less than a new 2010 V6 will be, though there might still be great financing deals for many months to come. Do you qualify for the Zero percent interest?
But the 2010 will be the first new S197 we've seen in 5 years, and has a great interior. The 2010 V6 is also quite a bargain as it comes with lots of features standard.
I'm sort of in the same boat as I'm trying to decide whether to grab a great deal on a 2009 GT, a decent deal on a more expensive 2010 GT or wait until the (hopefully) new V6 engine in 2011!

I still prefer the 05-09 interior because it is retro. the new interior is good, especially if you compare it to the new dodge. Ford knows how to design a good interior. the interior in my 09 has a lot of nostalgia value for me, so I am more biased toward getting an 09 versus a 2010. I have other reasons too, insurance on my gt is only about $116 more a year than on a v6 and also the fuel economy is roughly the same, well at least comparing a manual GT to an automatic V6. also if you're looking at getting an automatic I think I'd suggest getting a v6 over a gt if you're trying to save money on the purchase price.
