Default Question about mixing wheel sizes

I just ordered 18X10 rims for the back and 18X9 rims for the front. I also ordered 255 tires for the front and 285 tires for the rear. I heard you shouldn't mix rim sizes, but I wanted a staggered look. Will this setup be fine?

Yes it will be fine.

The GT500 runs those same tire sizes on 18x9.5 rims without issue.

From a tire rotation standpoint, you don't want much if any difference in tire OD so not to confuse the ABS and TCS. As far as width, it may depend on if you're lowered or not. I have 275's all the way around on a stock suspension and there's enough room to fit a small child in my wheel well. Staggering 255's up front and 285's in back should look great. If I recall, didn't the Shelbys come with 255/275's?

i have 20x9 and 20x10.5, there is no problem at all can't rotate but it is nice to have a 11.5 tire on the 10.5 rim, love the look of a big back tire

wait what? I'm afraid to ask how you know this...

"well, I was driving along and happened to run over a child and I noticed it got stuck in my wheel well"

No rotations, but otherwise its a go! Many are running that setup, including yours truly. Lowered on the pro kit.
