How accurate are the youtube exhaust clips?
After hearing my friends 90' camaro iroc-z with a 305 and the 350 in out boat, i seriously want to redo my exhaust. My friends camaro doesnt look that great, but man it sounds MEAN. A fairly loud, low rumble. Only thing better then it was hearing our boat start up again today out of the water. The 350 in it sounds like a beast out of the water. I have a feeling that i will only be disappointed if i try to get the same sound out of my car. Im i right in thinking this? The exhaust clips i have heard on youtube all sound higher, but im wondering if that is because of the recording quality, or quality of my speakers.

NOT accurate at all.
The average digital camera used to record the majority of youtube video can barely produce watchable video, let alone audio that isn't distorted.
Add you tube compression to the mix, and well, you don't have an accurate representation of what the exhaust will sound like.
You can get in IDEA of the TONE, other than that, take it with a grain of salt.

i wouldnt say accurate at all, my exhaust sounds like a total beast, but you cant even hear it that well in videos because the cameras i used didnt record the low tones that well. you get the jist of it, but you never hear it right until u hear it in person.

Your mustang is never going to sound like a camaro or a boat with a 350. I like our stangs, but the one thing they're missing is that old school strong muscle car sound. We do things to make them sound good, but its not quite the same.
