Question about stock Pirelli P Zero Nero tires
I bought a V6 Convertible with aftermarket rims and the wrong sized tires. A store on EBay has a package of brand new GT takeoff rims AND the Pirelli P Zero tires for just $499. That's an oustanding deal. However, I've read some bad reviews about the tires on TireRack. The big complaint, I hear, is that the tires get an extremely loud tire roar after a few thousand miles. Several say it's the loudest tire they've ever heard. Since I have a convertible, I don't want a loud tire. Can I get some feeback from you guys who have the stock Pirelli tires and have run them a few thousand miles. Any complaints about noise? And how is the tire generally? The main criticism in the TireRack test is wet traction.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Tires just dont get noisier along their lifespan.
Unless they can change their tread pattern at
will like a Transformer or the Kitt car.
The Pirellis are nothing to write home about.
They are the stock tires for a reason. They
are cheap and plentiful.
The S/H might bring those tires/rims to over $600 for the set

I never really noticed the sound. But I have a little under 24K miles and have to replace all 4 of my tires. 2 are completely bald, and the other 2 are just in bad shape in some spots. I just ordered a nice set of black bullets and great set of Nitto Invo tires.

My factories were about then when I had to replace all 4... But I cannot remember any noise from them, I just remember I could never get any traction.

I just bought an '06 for my g/f that still has the OEM Pirelli Pzero Nero's with about 10,000 miles and they're no noisier than most tires. IMO, the OEM Pirelli's are better than the OEM BFG's but still only passable for a DD with no need for a good hookup.
