Having no cats??

I personally dont know of anyone who has ever been busted before. but as ATO said...its illegal in all states! it all depends on where you live and how big law enforcement is on enforcing the law. most cops could probably care less...but theres always one who wants to set an example and be a ***** and youd better hope you dont get that guy! unfortunatley.. we live in a "green" world full of eco-friendly "tree-tards" who have nothing better to do than rant and rave about us performance car guys and how were helping destroy the planet, so i imagine the laws will only get worsre in time! The bottom line...your ALWAYS taking a chance of being busted and fined ,so think it over before you do it! ( oh ..and the smell is a dead giveaway) even to non-car guys!

They are pretty lenient in florida. I used to live in NJ and in my town they had checkpoints, people actually walked around and would look under your car with mirrors for cats. I know this to be true because my brother is a cop in that town and he had to take a different way home just so they wouldnt mess with his car.

Messing with your vehicles emissions equipment is a federal offense - look it up if you don't believe me. That being said, I run an O/R Prochamber with Flows and love the sound and smell. The smell is just bliss--nice surprise when you first do it. The sound is great too. To all you ignorant idiots that like to flame police officers on here, no we don't usually check for emissions equipment compliance (look under your vehicle), and the effort involved to really jam somebody up for driving without them would be extensive. Worse case I could see would be towing the vehicle for not being street legal, but that's a real stretch. Exhaust noise is another more subjective topic that is a whole other issue. So keep your stock pipe and shed them cats before Curious George taxes our Stangs into oblivion

so your obviously a policeman. would you mind telling me if high flow cats are illegal? someone keeps telling me that they are just as illegal as no cats. i just want to remain safe bc cops ALWAYS follow me, regardless of the speed. i was going 1 mph over the speed limit and a cop running radar stopped running radar JUST to follow me! also happens a lot other places

Oem & original location cats are required for 10 years from new so hi flow cats will not pass the letter of the law. Thats why longubes are not emmision legal cause they move the cats from their original location.
