The higher you go with the K, the less usable visable light
output you will see. There is a trade-off that starts about
5000K and just gets worse the higher you go.

Not in my opinion. As I stated earlier, the higher in temp you go, the less useable light. And although you may not notice it under nice, clear conditions, you WILL notice a loss of visibility in wet and/or foggy conditions. I'm not saying don't get the higher temps; I'm just stating some info.
ya i kinda know what nukes talking bout and im still wonderin what i should do.. 6000k sounds kinda perfect.. im working wit luminics pure white bulbs right now but i cant see much with them even other ppls car lights shine brighter over mine and sometimes wonder if my lights are even shining.. but HID will make it much more visible.. thanks for all the help guys i think my decision is going to be 6000K cuz it still has a hint of blue and its bright enough. Retro solution FTW

the 8k is really bright i think if you go higher then 8k then the visablitly goes down
I was thinkin about HIDs and tinting the headlights. Dumb idea or no? I wasnt sure if going with 6000K and the tiniting would work, I dont want to lose visibility by just tinting them so i thought maybe the HIDs would help...
