lol 140 for a few minutes, where the hell do you drive with roads that long and smooth?
1 minute @ 140 mph is a loooooong time, when I said I burried my needle it burried it and then that was it slowed right back down, I cant imagine trying to go 140 plus for a few minutes

A few minutes (3) is 7 miles.
5 minutes at 140MPH is 11.666 miles.
Its not that hard in flat states to find
open stretches like that. Hiway Patrols
like them too....

Very true statements. I've hit 145mph twice and that is definitely covering a lot of realestate real fast. As soon as I hit if I just let off and coast back down to 80 or so. I can't imagine doing 140+ for more than a few seconds. Way to many cops and turns.

When OEM hoods pop out, it's because it wasn't closed all the way...
It may appear that way but the vibration will trigger the failure.
If the hood striker isn't aligned right in the middle of the latch, it will drag and therefore not latching in that extra 16" of an inch that is needed to complete the loop around the striker.
It's always a good idea to try to lift the hood back up after you just closed it, so you can prevent that latch from being fickle...
