They need the driver mod then. Simple as that. People can run terrible times with GTs too. Go look at the S&S section right now. There's even a thread for it.

The fiances old man bought one last summer and to be honest, I think my 07 stock gt would have him. Depends on gears though too, i think he has 303s and i'm fairly sure mine are 355s. Not sure though.

Be realistic. A stock srt-8 challenger will walk all over a stock Mustang GT. My brother has a cherokee srt-8 and to think my pretty much stock Mustang would beat him is laughable (yes I realize it's AWD). Do gears, tires, and tune and intake and you'll have zero problems (good or bad driver).

I have run 13.30's with a Brenspeed tune and an intake. It was our vapor 08 (manual)shop car that has since been sold for a F-250 to pull our trailer. So with a tune intake, UDP, and Gears you sould have him beat.

Same driver from edmunds has the 2009 Challenger srt8 manual doing 0-60 in 5.5 and a quarter mile in 13.8 and a 2005 Mustang GT manual doing 0-60 in 5.9 and the quarter in 14.1.

srt8 vs GT, intake, tune, gears - its yours no question about it.. (As long as ur not a sucky dirver lol)
