Default Shelby Kicker System enroute to my house!

During the 45th in B-Ham Kicker had a demo set up of their new Shelby upgrade stereo system for 05-09 Mustangs. The system was commissioned by Shelby and can only be purchase threw Shelby as it is an official branded product. Now for the good stuff, the system sounds outstanding and its totally plug & play. You do not need to replace your Shaker 500/1000 head unit if you do not want too. This system replaces all your factor speakers and adds a 10" sub in a very small very nice enclosure that blows away the Shaker 1000 unit. The system also comes with a new 4 channel (computer controlled)amp that hides up under your glove box. This amp tunes the system to your cars acoustic environment. It also comes with a sub amp that is attached to the back side of the sub enclosure for a clean install. If you have an after market head unit like I do its not a problem either, all you do is set it to play "flat" and let the 4 channel amp take care of the tuning for you. I'll take pictures of the install and all the parts and post them here as I go. Here is a pic of the system from Shelby’s site:

Yoinks...For $1300 I think i'd just replace the Head unit with a GPS one. heh. now. i suppose you'd have to run wires if you only had the OEM Skipper500 and not the 1000. I don't believe the wiring harness is there for the trunksub if your car had the 500. I never bothered to look much. the 05 had the 1000 and the 07 has the 500. Both of them suck. Mp3 Skipping POS.

If you have the 500 all you have to do is to run the new wire harness that comes with the system to your head unit which is very easy to do. I already have a Kennwood DNX7120 head unit install since I could not stand the Shaker 500 HU and I wanted GPS Nav

Does it come with a mic that goes to the amp? Without a mic, I'm not buying that this system does any dynamic adjusting of sound quality.

Even for 1249.99, you could do better.
