My 07 sounded like a baby rattle convention after a month. I went to the dealer twice, and new rattles occured. I just started to realize that I bought a Ford, not a Lexus.

There was another poster that had a rattle coming from the passenger side. Every time he took it to the dealer it was gone. He found out it was coming from the seat when there was no one sitting in it. I think he said he was frustrated and hit the seat and found the rattle.

Cheers

Take it to the dealer. They will end up taking apart whatever is rattling and putting more padding in between the two. Crude but I guess thats what needs to be done. Both my mustang and fusion had rattles in the same area (where the dash and a pillar cover meet)

I have incredibly severe rattles in my car. EVERYTHING rattles and I've made many trips to the dealer with no success. They say they padded this padded that and it's terrible. JUST b/c of this thread I might go to a different dealer tom-my warranty expires sat! WOW 3 years haha

My rattle was the plate behind the door handle... took it off myself and put some double sided foam tape on it... popped it back in place and it was gone.
Check the simple stuff first. Sometimes when they pull things apart the rattles get worse! ( Like on my old '03 Explorer! )

Don't take it to the dealer too soon; give it a month so you can catch any other problems first. Don't want to have to keep going to the dealer for every little rattle. Make a list if you have more and get them all looked at at once. One trip to the dealer is all I can stand anyway.
