Bamachips.
I decided to order an e-mail tune from Bamachips based on Doug's reputation, word of mouth, and really attractive price. I would always think dyno tuning is the way to go, but loose money is a luxury I don't really have no more seein a dyno tune typically runs round 300 bucks. So I found me a used Xcal tuner for short money, and shot over an internet order to Doug. Doug was quick to do up a tune for me, understood completely what I was seeking to get out of my car in the short e-mail I sent to him. All I can really say is.... WOW!!! Loaded to tune to the Xcal, shot in to the car, and it's like I have a completely different car. No annoying throttle lag, great response throught the whole powerband. Doug, if you read through these forums, you hit the nail right on the head. I am very pleased and would not hesitate to recommend Bamachips to anyone. If your in the market for a tune hit up Doug. A+ work done there at Bamachips.

Yep he can tune pretty much anything in person even better than his e-mail tunes too. He tuned my car, not something easy to do at all..

I'm thinking about doing this too.....tell me what tunes you guys have, and what you would recommend. I never "race" my car, I just drive it back and forth to work....110 miles a day, and 90% of that driving is at 65-75mph with the cruise control on, so I'm thinking of the torque tunes, but wanted a little feedback.

torq and race are good tunes even for everyday driving. I never got into the performance tune much because its mostly geared for gains in the upper RPM band and as a DD my car doesnt see that range often. The torq and race have good feel in lower RPMs which is great for a DD.

Thanks Matt.....I think that's what I'm looking for, I currently have the three Brenspeed tunes, and to be honest, all three of them don't really kick in until 3000 rpm's, which really is a bit late for me, so I want to try something that has a little more responsiveness earlier in the rpm range.

Second, what is the highest octane fuel you can get in your area? What's the highest octane you're willing to fill up on ALL THE TIME? Like you said, 110 miles a day, you go through a decent amount of gas. Are you going to mind paying for the highest octane all of the time?
