Default Can the car run on one 02 sensor?

I just installed an O/R H-Pipe and the front 02 sensor doesn't quite reach the connector on the passenger side. Could I run with just the drivers side 02 sensor until my 02 extensions come, or will it go into limp mode? I assume I can't drive it, but I was just wondering.

it will throw a code for the disconnected sensor, and default to a slightly rich condition on that bank. your fuel economy will suffer some but you wont do any damage.

The engine light is going to come on regardless but all you have to do is unclip the connector from the bracket and plug the o2 on i just did the pipe on my car this weekend. The only way to turn off the light is with a programer.but I heard from a local shop that the epa got on the programers back and it does not allow you to turn off the o2 sensors, like before,.unless you have a custom program done.

you cant turn off the front o2 sensors you need them to correctly adjust fuel trim, you are thinking of the rear sensors.

Yeah I unclipped the female connector above the transmission from its mounting point and so the O2 sensor would reach, but it is really tight. I have extensions coming in the mail from American Muscle which should fix my problem. Dang this thing is loud without cats!
