Default 2010 Manual Trans Better than 2009?

I drove an 09 Bullitt and didn't buy it primarily because the manual transmission, clutch, and driveline seemed sloppy and loose. I have driven 2 2010's and the transmission is solid and has a quality feel that was lacking in the 09. Anyone else notice this?? I know they have added more soundproofing, but the trans is tighter and more precise, and the clutch feels smoother.

I read in one of Motor Trend's issues.. one of the driver's remarked, "best steering in an American car. ever." that's not such a bad compliment!

I test drove a 2010 GT manual and it shifted many times better than the manual I test drove back in 2005! Not as notchy, smoother, and not as stiff as they were when these S197's came out

I have a '09 and I just test drove a '10. The tranny itself felt the same, but the shifter felt more refined to me.

I drove one today and thought the shift felt very smooth but didnt have very good positive engagement, especially compared to my steeda Triax.
And about the steering feel, i know i'm on the wrong website to be saying this haha, but it was no comparison to a vette in precision or feel. But did feel more solid than my 02. The backup camera was badass, maybe not needed, but still sweet that the camera was in the rearview mirror

U aren't really comparing apples to apples here with a Mustang GT to a Vette. We all know the GT500 has a much better shifter than the GT so you would need to compare the Vette to a GT500 to be fair

Ny 07 is kinda sloppy and clunky mosy of the time, I would like to hear from 2010 owners after 10k miles and see if theirs is still solid........

Ditto. I'm just not sure I'd have the patience to wait until someone puts 10k miles on their car until i get mine... Patience isn't a strong point for me

I wonder if Ford decided to use poly bushings on the shifter instead of the rubber ones.
