All I can say is wow. They are perfect, they didn't make the gears too short and 5th is not bad at all on the highway. They are still breaking in so I have not got in to it hard in first yet, but so far I love them. I think that they really should be a factory option lol.

Should have said, I have a manual.
Oh, also I was shooting the **** with the owner of the shop for a while, he said do not buy the C&L manifold. A buddy of his put that and a TB on his car and lost 4hp. I guess someone from Bama came up to see if it was a tuning issue but it wasn't. Also, he said that Bama designed the intake and even told C&L it was junk and not to market it. I don't know how much truth there is (believe half of what you see and none of what you here is what I always say) but the owner was extremely knowledgeable and they did a great job on my gears.

I know VERY well about the "believe half of what you see and none of what you hear" motto. I've been through more parts on this car because of the latter. You're up in MA... hmmmm.. there are only a handful of "extremely knowledgable" S197 guys up there... I wonder which one it was???

congrats on the gears, ive had mine for a few weeks now and they are much better than the stock gears. some people claim 4-5 tenths off the 1/4 mile e.t. but i havent had it to the track yet to see what they do for me there.

Haha it was Dana at Pro Tree Performance. I don't know if anybody has heard of him but he is a good guy. Some Canadian guy was driving 18 hours to get his Hellion turbo kit installed and tuned there
