Getting power in low RPMs with Brenspeed tune
#32
I tried advancing the 0-2000 today with the Brenspeed tune. I guess it seemed about stock strength. Didn't feel quite as though it was going to die going uphill. I know someone said Brenspeed advises against advancing this at 0-2000 but I did it anyway. Advanced it to 4, the highest. I see it allows us to go -14 but only +4, so I tried both just for the heck of it. +4 seemed better so I left it there for now. To be continued.

My last car was a WRX, modded of course...And when the boost kicked in and launched off is a similar feeling, though not quite as strong, as when my mustang kicks in at 3000 rpm.
p.s. Would you say its ironic that there are advertisements for the new camaro, i mean the "All New Camaro" on our forum.

Geez, who drives their car below 3000 rpm's except in 5th gear? I would have to concentrate on shifting below 3000 rpm's in any of the other gears. I thought we drove race cars not Prius's. Give me my power band from 3000 to 6500 .

I can't say I lost any torque down low with my Brenspeed 93 tune. Throttle response is great. Butt-dyno down low is stronger than ever. High-end pull and power is awesome. It's been nothing but money for me...

it's a little disconcerting that when i first joined mf, EVERYONE had nothing but good things to say about Brenspeed. now all of a sudden, all this negative feedback is becoming all too frequent. is it really that big a problem or is everyone just expecting them to wipe butts too.
just my observation. furthermore, i feel that power in the 0-3k range isn't that big of a deal, ESPECIALLY if the 3k and onward feels amazing.

My 89 and 93 Brenspeed tunes are just fine throughout the entire RPM range with a few minor differences between them. Both tunes are definately an improvement over stock 87 regardless of the RPM. I rarely have used the Brenspeed 87 tune; just in emergencies when only 87 was available. Yeah, I can tell when the CMCV plates open full but that's not the tune.
