All - new to the mustang, not to Ford (have an F-150). I have an S2000 I rebuilt with SC and suspension for playing on the track and drop top experience...

But our 2000/1999 Acura is getting old and my wife agrees we can get away with a 2 +2 since both kids (young) fit back there easily. So...my wife really wants to get the car with one stipulation - the glass roof. If I do this, this rules out the track pack. Problem is that I really value handling and was going to get the track pack...but most this car would see is Auto-X and maybe a lap or two at Homestead. This car would be a fun GT for my wife and I - the sportscar feel is a good benefit.

So as a compromise, was thinking of the 3.73 package, then looking aftermarket for the heavier anti-sway bar...and possibly suspension/springs. Don't really like the 19" wheels (weight and $$ to replace) - would prefer to stick with the 18's and choose my size/grip aftermarket. Don't know the aftermarket for mustangs - but wheels and tires aside - think for a modest investment and a bit of elbow grease can get close to equivalent handling as track pack? Always cautious with suspension tuning as you can make things worse really fast so looking for opinions from folks that have been in the mustang game for a while.

You can get the glassback roof with the 3.73 rear axle package. I also have the $695 option for 19" wheels. Then possibly add the sway-bars afterwards if you like just as you stated. That is my intention as well
