Default Rear quarter or not? your advice is needed

Hi all,

I'm new here. I have a '07 Shelby GT. I'm thinking of covering my rear quarter windows with some scoops but I'm concerned about losing vision through that little sliver of widow. Has anyone covered up their rear windows? How bad is the blind spot? It's my first mustang and I had to adjust to the small windows in the first place. Is it much different to have no windows at all? Any advice or history you could share on your experiences with this issue would be much appreciated. -Alex

I have mine covered and it is not an issue when you have the big side mirrors.....welcome to the forum and I never used the small quarter windows for the blind spot anyway....moved to 2005+ section

Mine is covered, and I have to say when I back out of my driveway the passenger blindspot is terrible, but also, my side scoops were already on when I got my car so I don't know how it would be without them. I do know the back seat area is kind of dark all the time.

Why not tape sheets of newspaper inside the windows and drive around with it for a while. See what it's like for yourself. I dremeled open the slats on my louvers cause I knew I didn't want to sacrifice the visibility at all.

When I added my window louvers I did notice it more than I thought I would but its not bad. After a while you get used to it and its no big deal. I've head its a little claustrophobic in the back seat now, but that doesn't bother me up front.

Welcome to the forums.

That's a good idea... do you have any pics of the finished product?

I have the roush and its got vents in it so you can still see things coming from the side if you look through them.. of course not as good as a whole window but better than the whole thing covered... JMO

please do a search! I've posted photos of the view out so many times that I really shouldn't have to anymore...

Thank you for your cooperation!
