Default tune question

I am going to be ordering my tune tomorrow and i wanted to know if this was stupid to do. I have corsa axlebacks and i want to go to a o/r h pipe. So do i order my tune saying that is my exhaust or will this hurt my vehicle. It might take 2 weeks to get the midpipe in depending. What do you guys think?

well if you are going to be running an o/r pipe you are going to want to let them know that you are planning for that in the future. What they are going to do is turn off the rear 02 sensors. This is not the best idea if you have to get your car inspected yearly, but some inspection places will just want to check that your "check engine light" is not on. I recently went to a place that just started checking your computer to make sure all systems are working properly and if your rear 02 sensors are turned off then you will not pass inspection. I had that problem.

We don't have to have our cars inspected in Ohio, so I'd say just tell them that is your setup if you plan on having them done in the near future.

Go ahead and order it by I would hold off on uploading it until the O/R pipes are actually on. I see you already have the intake/tune so there wouldnt be any advantage to tuning it for an O/R pipe that isn't on the car yet.

We dont have any inspection here in OH. I ws j/w if i leave the cats on for roughly 2 weeks and have a tune that says rear o2 off sensors off will it hurt anything.

as of right now i dont have any tune. the jlt is sitting in the trunk till i order the tune. I could prolly wait to order the tune till i get the o/r but that would only make sence. lol. but i dont think i can wait. i have been waiting for almost a month now.

There's no reason to wait. All you're doing is turning the rear O2 sensors off. Get the tune, say you have an O/R H, install the JLT, upload the tune, enjoy! Then, when you get the O/R H, you'll already be ready with the tune.

agreed^ depending on where you live or who you are getting tuned by, the tuners usually turn the rear o2's off, because eventually you will try on o/r mid pipe. load the tune and ride, man!
