gt500 dual fuel pumps?
Im picking up a used procharger from a fellow forum member this weekend. Here is the setup i will have:
procharger d-1sc headunit
intercooler
39# injectors
kooks LTs with high flow catted H pipe.
My goal is to make between 450-500 rwhp.
Should i get the gt500 dual fuel pump? Or will i be fine with the setup i already have? I am kinda tapped out on cash so i would have to delay the SC install till I can save up the $700+ for the fuel pump. I dont want to install the SC get it dyno tuned and then 2 months later have to take everything apart to install the new fuel pump and pay for a new dyno tune. The dyno tunes are so freaking expensive!

what fuel pump do you have now?
IMO fuel is not something to skimp on, with the GT500 set up your 39#s can flow like 48#s and you'll be fine in the whp range your looking for, I made 460 w/ 39s & the GT500s w/o any fuel worries

if you still have the stock fuel pump (255 liter per hour), you'll definitely need something more to get the additional fuel to the motor. my Vortech HO S/C kit came with an additional 255lph fuel pump that you have to "piggy-back" onto the stock one to feed the 39# injectors that get installed
...and yes, good dyno tunes are not cheap. as I've mentioned before in other posts, I paid $600 to have mine tuned on a Mustang Dyno....but a good tune now will save you alot of heart-ache down the road

nevermind, the A-hole that was supposed to sell me the supercharger backed out at the last minute. Kinda pisses me off cause i got the money together and was gonna pick it up first thing in the morning.

Sorry to hear... they're everywhere. Anyways, get to fuel pumps installed before you get the car tune with either the piggy backs or the GT500's...

I got the KB BAP. works well but ill be upgrading to the gt500 pumps or the fore precision setup to prepare for more mods. Sorry to hear about the fall through. Keep looking around, good deals come up every once in awhile.

at the very least.....get a fuel pressure gauge too!
Or get the GT500 pumps and have future upgrade ability...I ran the stock pump for 1 yr and no issues at the HP I am at now.......I have 60# inj too......since day one with the S/C install
