3:55 vs 3:75 package vs stock
#2
Ain't stock the 3:55?
The higher the gear the more acceleration you get. The lower the gear, the higher top speed u can get. All it comes down to, is what you'll like to do. With the 3.75 you'll take off better at the red light, but you'll be a couple of RPM higher at 75MPH on the freeway compaired to a 3:55.
Those gears ratios are so close from each other that I don't think it's be much of a difference anyway. I'll take the 3:75 as you'll be accelerating more often than driving X-country on the freeway.
My firebird has a 3.08 gear, if I want to go drag racing I'll put a 4.10, now that would make my RPM scream at 90MPH on the freeway, but I'll gain a lot of acceleration on the 1/4 mile ... assuminf that I can put it on the ground.
Anyway, think of it like riding a bicycle, how far u go/how much effort with each pedal stroke. Hope that helps.

not a "3.75"
it's 3.73
stock is 3.31
So there will be a big difference between stock and 3.73. There's a noticeable difference from stock to 3.55, but it's pretty close.
If you buy your Mustang with the 3.55 or 3.73 you'll save yourself the trouble of going through a difficult mod later.

In my 08 GT automatic I had 3.31s which were averaging me 16 city and about 24 on the highway. Since the swap to the 3.73s, I went down to about 15.5 city and 23 on the highway. IMHO, the gears really are the best "bang for your buck" mod you can do. I've done almost every bolt on and the gears still made my car feel like it gained another 50RWHP. Get the 3.73s now to avoid the nightmare that many people go through when they try and get gears way down the road.

I went with 4.10s there awsome ....75 mph 2250rpm in 5th 16mpg and 24.7 avg hwy ..at 70 cruise for 60 miles i got 27.8mpg ..so i see no ill effects from my stock 3.55s ..here read this hope it helps
