Both the GT500 and KR have 5.4's in them. Just not the ones based from the F150's.

buy a 5.4 alluminator, TT it and call it a day , forget all this bs talk about the f150 engine that puts out the same as our gt engines....weighs a ton and you gain 40 ft lbs of tq as somebody said,Lame....

If you didnt know all GT500's have a 5.4 in it then you I cant believe you were very serious about putting a 5.4 in your car......KR and SS are just beefed up 5.4...........

The people that were telling you to pull a 5.4 from an effy, weren't suggesting doing a straight drop-in... get the truck motor and build it. I think the 5.4 Aluminator is a good call, though.

A TT aluminator would be nice, could also do the motor from the FR500 and just add FI.

haha so moral of the story is to get the 5.4 block from a 150 because its a iron block..? Sounds like a good idea with some forged parts along with it.

Because it's an iron block (very similar to the GT500 block), and because they're dirt cheap and not hard to find.
