Default Reliability

I am looking to purchase a 2005-2009 GT convertible manual. I have been doing some research on reliability would welcome any recommendations from the forum as to what years would be the most reliable all-around. I have seen some drive train and fuel system problems reported for 05 and 06 on consumer reports.

I've got an 06. I have only had the water leak TSB. It was fixed, and I have never had any other problems. I believe that that the water leak problem was addressed in the 07s and later models. Welcome to the forums.

I have a 2005 Mustang GT and it has been awesome (not just saying that because I am trying to sell it...it honestly has been a very reliable car).

My 2007 GT has never had a problem. These cars are very solid and trouble-free. There are always isolated problems with any vehicle but the 05-09 Mustangs are ranked very high quality and reliability.

44K miles on my 06...
Not a glitch yet. I went to Arkansas with it in April (2200 miles round trip) and the car performed flawlessly.

These cars suck. they are too fast, always act aggresive, nothing brakes on them so i can't enjoy time spent at the mechanic shop, they are a MONEY PIT !!! I constantly have to spend at least $ 200 a month... it's called a mod bug or something.. I would def stay away unless you have the urge to smile at all times when you drive it..

oh and another thing.. these cars have something evil in them. they make you either want to race them or take them to shows.. so waste time away..

You'll love it. welcome to the forums
