Question A Question For All Of You Vinyl Matte Black Stripe People

So I just went to Wal Mart the other day and bought a California Duster.
I have heard such good things about this product so I figured why not right?

Used it on my car and noticed VERY small streaks every once in a while.
So I used my finger and rubbed it in on the spots (including the vinyl) and it seemed to disappear and I can't see it even a day later.

I read the instructions saying that the first 3-4 times you use it it may leave small streaks on the car due to excess paraffin wax. I am guessing this it what caused it.

I know wax is A NO NO on matte black stripes.
So should I not use the duster on the stripes EVER?
Or can I use it after I have broke the duster in on the other parts of the car a good 5 times or so and the excess wax is off it?

The thing is so damn convenient and worked like a friggin charm to get the dust off , even on the stripes (and in Texas... we HAVE DUST)... but I don't want to mess up the matte black stripes.

I actually bought it FOR getting dust off the stripes but now I am second guessing it.

What should I do?

Hrm... I wonder if it was because it was brand new like the instructions said...

I think I might use it 4-5 times on the rest of the car... then try it again on the stripes.

Anyone else with matte black stripes have opinions/comments about the product?

So did you continue to use it?

If so did the problem go away?

i still use it but try to keep it off the stripes. If you look close those it leaves the same greasey marks on the paint so i use it then go over the car with spray detailer. I have only used the duster a half dozen times since i've bought it but so far it hasnt gone away totally.

Yup I did notice it on the paint.

Damn... I really wanted to use it on the stripes because they DO accumilate dust.

Guess I'll just use the orange cleaner spray that was suggested to me
by the people I bought stripes from.

Havent tried that stuff yet but sure hope it works.
Dunno what else to use for a QUICK cleaning of the stripes.
