manual . shifting question

just to make sure here.... Is your car the cobra in the picture? Thats a hell of a car to learn stick on. If it is, your definatly gonna notice anything your lacking in finess.

To answer your question about too fast or to slow letting go of the clutch.

If its too slow you will never "Jerk" while releasing. Releasing slow is allowing the clutchs to continue to slip for a long time, making the transition smooth, but your clutch life short.

To fast of a let go, while not giving it enough gas and your car will learch as the diveline slows it, then jerk as you jump back on the gas to quick, in reaction to the slowing, creating the common slow then launch effect alot of newbies to manual have.


I would still get the brace though, its cheap and a REAL nice unit.

i actually have a 06 black gt now with o/r h pipe , mac axleback and a 91 torque tune.... thats just a gt500 conversion im putting it on my black car now .. i traded in that windviel blue it was n automatic.... theres really no jerking or anything just not as smooth as the other higher gears. this is my first manual car but ive driven manual on my friends cars before but its a totally different ball game with this car. thanks for the advice tho. i just wanna do everything perfect so i was looking for any tips from any1 on here that i could get
