Unhappy New 09 GT with 4,000 miles. Engine problems, struggles getting to 45.

Earlier today my car started acting strange. I was driving going about 40 and gassed it, it wouldn't go. The car struggled getting up to 45 and took at least 15 seconds to get to 60.

I pulled off and put it in park and the engine lunged and acted like it wanted to jump out of the hood for 3 seconds. I had a wrecker pick it up and take it to the nearest Ford dealership.

Needless to say, this car is 2months old with 4,000 miles on it. The service engine soon light was on and blinked every couple of minutes.

Not a good day my fellow Mustang owners. Any ideas?

This is a bone stock GT.

SES light blinking = type A missfire. Your car was dropping cylinders. Let the dealer check it out.

We will see, hopefully its nothing to major.

This kind of put the small rattle I had coming from the passenger side aluminum dash piece in perspective.

My GT had about 7k on it and that happened to me. I was sitting in traffic and the exhaust note changed and the car started shaking a bit. When I pulled away it was very slow. When I stood on the clutch though and gave it some gas, the misfire went away. This happened until I refueled and hasn't happened since.

Sorry to hear. I hope they figure it out soon and you get back on the road.
