Restricted Air Flow??

Restricted Air Flow??
"Shown is the restrictive carbon filter trap which resides in the factory air-intake duct. This corrugated piece serves to trap any raw fuel vapor from the intake manifold. Removing this piece is good for a several horsepower gain, however often yields to wacky air-fuel ratios." (from http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2...5CPR/index.php )
I am still unsure whether I should remove it or leave it alone. Has anybody removed it and were there any problems? What's the deal?

RE: Restricted Air Flow??
Exactly... Remove it and off you go. I needed no reset of the ECU... but... If you are concerned with it you can always disco the battery and reset the computer. Then drive it like you stole it.
