Does BBK throttle body need a tune?

Does BBK throttle body need a tune?

Friend of mine needs a new air intake modulator and he figured he might as well buy an aftermarket one since they are cheaper than OEM. Question is, does it require a tune? What happens if you install it and run no tune?

the aftermarket TBs are not worth the cost, he'd be better off IMHO on getting a take-off OEM

As to the BBK, my understanding is that yes it would need a tune.

I'm not sure. Personally, I don't believe so but I suggest you contact Brenspeed or Bama and check to be sure. IMO, you'll also need a sledge hammer to bust it apart after you share the frustrations with the install that so many on the forum have dealt with.
