Default Fuel Filter

3 options. Any real important differences here? Description ofcourse says nothing useful. I'm guessing by "base" the bottom filter is meant for a v6?

Price of filters usually depends on what is in it to do the actual filtering and the process that was used to make the filter. The more expensive ones might have more costly filter paper instead of a cheap synthetic but that doesn't mean it's better. It might flow just the same and get as much dirt out of the fuel as the cheaper filter. All those look like there wasn't money wasted on the outer shell so if you feel that you get what you spend then you'll be happy getting the most expensive one on there. You could also just go to Advance Auto and get a fuel filter and skip the cost of shipping.

+1 on Autozone or any auto parts store. It's not that big of a deal.

Go to your local parts store. You won't have to pay shipping, won't have to wait for it in the mail, and it'll cost you just about the same. Cheap one's about $6.50, pricier ones are about $12.

Get the $12 one at your local parts store. Its only $6 more than the cheapest and gets placed every 30k or so miles. Even if its no better than the cheap one, its not a large waste of $.

Stang fuel filter is super easy. Now a 2005 Ford Focus, that was the absolute worst.
