2005 2006 mustang i pod hook up
this is the peripheral I pod hook up, its not a FM transmitter it is a full plug and play system that allows you to access and play your i pod directly from your factory Ford head unit, Crystal clear. I also shows artist and song selected to the head unit.works with shaker 500 / 1000 systems $50

Whats the company name and model/product number? I am interested is this. When I pulled my shaker 500 thought I was gonna have an aux stereo jack input but there wasn't one. How does this plug in exactly? Looks like one of the existing harnesses plugs in to that and the ipod plugs in to that, then that harness goes to the headunit? Thanks!

It definately matters since there is an older version and then a second version released later.
The first version I had and it caused MULTIPLE dash errors (high engine temp, low to no fuel, no airconditioning, and loss of traction control to name a few) eventually forcing me to remove the unit (peripheral even admitted as much and pulled it off the shelves as well as removing from their compatability charts). About a year later the second version came out. I cant speak for the second released one, but I would not only make sure that this is infact one of the second ones, but I would double check to make sure there havent been any problems associated with version 2 as well (check peripherials' site to make sure its on the capability chart still too).
I plan on finally putting another AUX output iPod unit on my shaker, but it will be the one from http://www.brandmotion.com/. Even though it looks to sell slightly higher, I have yet to read about any problems its caused what so ever in over two years since its release.

Does anyone have a part number for the factory one on the 07s and up? I want to just have a head phone jack so I can hook up iPhone or any other player. I'd like to scroll through the music on the player it's self instead of the head unit.
