Arrow S197 Rear Seat Weight - FINAL DISCUSSION (actual lbs)

I keep getting several different weights for the rear seats (upper and lower) on any 05-09 S197. One says 15lbs, while another says 40lbs- what the heck?! I decided that this should be decided once and for all-

(stock, fold-down, cloth)
How much do a set of rear seats weigh?

Sounds good, so you took them out, put them on a scale, and the offical weight is?

LOL, no that's what I am wanting to know.

If no one replies to this, I may take them out and weigh them- some day.

Jeez Bro, if you want to know so bad, take your seats out and weigh them! Takes like 5 minutes!

I've had that thing in and out many times and usually pull it out with one hand not even having to bend the wrist lol. It's not even worth removing IMO! I'd have to say closer to 10 lbs...for I guess what would be called the "lower-part". can't imagine the top being any heavier...

There are two parts to your seat. The seat bottom (you sit on this part) that comes out really easy. Then the seat back (the part you lean on), that has a couple bolts to remove it

It weighs 17.6 lbs....rear bottom seat cushion, and both upper seat backs.

I take mine out for every track visit, so I weighed them last go round.

Chris can vouch that I remove them every time.

The passenger seat also weighs 65-70 lbs.

Top and bottom have a combined weight of 21lbs. The belts, brackets, and bolts add another 9lbs. So a grand total of 30lbs for everything.
