Default Big MPG drop

I was running on 87 octane before I got any mods, after I got my CAI I started using 93 octane along with a 93 octane performance tune. My MPG dropped 4, from 20 to 16 I didn't change the way I drive, I knew it was gonna drop, but is it normal to drop that much?

I noticed a slight drop on my '06. Give it some time to shake out - I wouldn't worry about it.

I've had the tune for a day not too worried about it, I'll keep checking on it every now and then.

if anything, tuning should add MPG's...unless you are driving it harder than before

are you basing the MPG drop on Hand Calculations or the computer readout?

Yeah a cai+tune should increase your mpg not drop it. With my 93 tune and CAI I noticed about a 3mpg gain, but I lost about 7mpg from driving habits lol. Try reloading the tune or talking to whomever you got it from

Just from the computer onboard, I'm gonna let it go for a while til it gets more accurate info and see if it stays the same I guess.

One day is not nearly enough time to estimate changes in mpg. Too many other variables.

CAI & tune (plus stepping up to 93 octane) should most definitely increase your gas mileage, if your driving habits remain the same. Where is your tune from?

What's funny is, my 93 Race tune from Bamachips gets the best gas mileage of any tune I have. The worst? A 93 octane gas mileage tune from VMP. Crazy.
