Highly Considering the Vortech V3 non HO kit
#11
you won't believe the difference
I supercharged my 6,000 lb 20 ft long F-150. Went from 300 crank HP to 412 crank HP. Night and day difference. Became a rip snorting monster when in the boost. Docile cow when out of the boost.
You are going to love any Supercharger you get. And trust me, adding +100-150 Hp to a 3,800lbs Mustang is going to rock your world.

We have put a lot of time into developing a very affordable supercharger package together that offers daily relability while adding very good power. Our standard V3 kit is a turn key package that add 150 hp. On a manual car with 93 octane, 430 rwhp is the standard output of our kit and I have even seen 450 rwhp. The HO kit typically makes 460-480 rwhp. The best part of this kit is that it can be upgraded in the future for more power by changing the pulley and adding the intercooler. We have installed over a hundred of these units and shipped twice that amount. Give us a call if you have any questions.

The kit was designed and is safe to run as-is, with no intercooler. That said, if you're planning on adding it later, just go ahead and do it up front. Why tear into the car again later? I have thought about adding it a few times, but still not sure if I will. Right now I'm leaning toward not...

It's cheaper and easier to do what big ray is suggesting, get the intercooler right up front.
I'm speaking from experience, if you don't get it now you will later. It'll cost you more later. Not only more for the parts but a different pulley, different tune.
Anyone with the Brenspeed kit gotten 430-450?

Unless you live in Canada or some other cooler temp region, get the intercooled version. Whether that's the air to water or a custom air to air.
As the inlet air temp increases, so must the air after the supercharger. Higher final charge air temps means LESS timing and less timing means less HP. Plain and simple.
