Default Highly Considering the Vortech V3 non HO kit

Considering the prices for KB's and Whipples, this is way more around my price range and puts out the power Im wanting, around 440-450.

Are these good systems? Are they hard to install?

Any info would be great.

i am a vortech fan, i support your decision, the v3 should be easier to install than my v2 since you dont have to add a seperate oil line. should be one of the easier supercharger installs out there.

if you want down the road you can always build a custom intercooler setup.

get it.

Thank you , that helps my decision a bit. Im not really wanting to spend 7 grand or so for a KB or whipple but I would just like 450ish HP. The easy install is a plus. How is the maintenence on them?

+1

V2 isnt that hard though. I would say the intercooler set is cool, especially a blow through air to air setup.

Maintenance is easy on them, for the self contained units (v3) you just need to change the oil in the unit and for the v2 units just change your engine oil.

How big of a noticeable difference is a jump from an intake/tune to a V3 setup?

I'm guessing it will be tremendous. For me intake/custom tune to v2/****tyvortechtune actually felt like a totally different car. People get a cai/tune and say it feels totally different, but honestly it's nothing compared to the jump to the vortech (or other powerful forms of fi), boost is just something else.

the Vortech HO S/C (SQ-V2) that I had on my 2005 Mustang GT made ~425rwhp/404rwtq @ 8.11psi on a Mustang Dyno

Just go with the HO right away...you probably will eventually anyway

Install is very easy, even for a V2.
